Hartland defeats Huron Valley, 17-9
Hartland moved to 5-2 on the season with a 17-9 win over Huron Valley at Lakeland High School Wednesday night. The game was moved to 6:00pm (from 7:30pm) due to the threat of bad weather.
Coming off a knee injury that kept her out of the last three games, junior Courtney Lee scored six goals in the 17-9 victory. Right behind Courtney was sophomore Ryan Skomial with five. Rounding out the scoring were Haley Crouse and Rachel Sharpe with two goals each, and Taylor Pryde and Natalie Sochacki with one goal each.
Goalkeeper Kelsey Lavalley faced 23 shots on goal — stopping 14.
The JV team moved to 7-0 on the season after defeating Huron Valley 8-3 in the late game.
