Hartland Regains Form Against Grand Blanc

The girls from Hartland went to Rockford on Saturday to play in a mini-tournamnet and they came home with three losses.  All of the games were tight and competitive, but they were on the losing end of each contest.  Grand Blanc was on the schedule and they are always a difficult team.

The first half was was very similar to the weekend games.  Hartland played tight and made some mistakes and Grand Blanc got on the board first.  Hartland took three shots and each shot was blocked by Grand Blanc's goalie. It appeared that frustration was setting in until Cassie Pankowski broke the ice with a goal.

Hartland dominated on draw control and continued to run a patient offense. Opportunities for fast breaks were available throughout the night, but the coaching staff wanted the offense to work on the set offensive plays.

At half time, Hartland was ahead comfortably and the roster began to expand onto the field giving the starters rest. Tabitha Ferguson, Hartland's goalie, played well and had 13 saves on the night.

Hartland plays at Walled Lake on Wednesday night at 7pm.
