Both teams wanted this victory bad after battling to a tie in their last meeting. As expected, this game was pretty physical from the opening draw to the final buzzer. In the end it was Grand Blanc that came out on top, as Hartland fell to 7-6 on the season.

It was the seniors who took charge and dominated this game. They played with passion and determination. Scoring for Hartland with five goals was Nikki Cerovec. After leaving the game for several minutes after a wicked collision while scoring her fourth goal, she later returned to the game to score her fifth. Anna Lundwall scored four goals — two of them late in the in the game to bring Hartland to within one. Katie Chiappelli also scored two goals for Hartland. Kelsey LaValley faced 20 shots on goal.

It appears Grand Blanc is our new rival. They are well-coached, the girls play hard, and while their fans are...well...entertaining, I think we will always look forward to matching-up with Grand Blanc. Who knows, we may even see them in the playoffs.

Hartland travels to Bloomfield United (Lahser) this Friday for a 7:00pm game. Go Eagles!
